Hawaiian Hula International cordially invites you to an enriching cultural experience…celebrating 100 years of Queen Liliʻūokalani’s Legacy! This event will include Hawaiian hula workshops by Kumu Hula Leihiʻilani Kirkpatrick of Kauaʻi. The event will take place at the San Marcos Community Center located at 3 Civic Center Drive, San Marcos, CA 92069

There will be a Cultural Village where you will be able to take hands-on workshops including:

  • Mini Ipu Art with Auntie Pattie “Pakela” Bielma of Punahele Art
  • Hawaiian Lei Making with Uncle Kapena Malulani Perez
  • Talking story with Award Winning Hawaiian Author Auntie Leilani Holmes
  • Hawaiian-Sytle Pressure Massage by Uncle Akoni Apana of Lomi Lomi Kaomi

Nā Koa Kai Canoe Club will be hosting workshops about the Hawaiian Canoe and the rich history of Polynesian voyaging and wayfiding. Don’t miss the hands on activities and moʻolelo kahiko about the Hawaiian culture surrounding the waʻa.
